Introduction

¡Hola! My name is Andrés, and I am a native speaker of Spanish from Caracas in Miranda, Venezuela.

I have a degree in Journalism from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello de Caracas, and a diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the Centro de Lingüística Aplicada, as well as several other diplomas as a TPRS Teacher for language acquisition.

TPRS it's an unconventional method based on story-telling, role-playing and reading, that is designed to help students achieve fluency by immersing them into a funny story in Spanish.

I offer classes to students from 11 years and upward and have experience working with students (private and corporate) from many nations from around the world.

I offer specialized Spanish courses for Custom Professional, Teachers and Tourists.

Teaching style

My teaching method uses TPRS and traditional grammar based input.
On one hand, TPRS is focused on fluency and fun. This is a role-playing game, in which the students become the characters they like in order to immerse themselves into a story told in Spanish by me. As the story develops, the students have the opportunity to acquire the vocabulary they need to meet their goals and needs.
On the other hand, I use the traditional grammar based input, in order to give the students quick and rich tips about Spanish grammar, so they can remember better, and express more naturally in this language.

Hobbies

My main hobbies are meeting with friends, watching series and documentaries, and doing outdoors activities in general.

Teaching Spanish as a second language since 2019.

I speak a total of 4 languages:
Spanish (Native), English (Advanced), French (Intermediate), German (Beginner).

I've visited or lived in the following countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, The US, Spain, France and Switzerland
