Niall Hartnett - English Tutor

Introduction

Hello, my name is Niall and I am a native speaker of English from Ontario, Canada. I studied East Asian Studies at Huron University College and got my TEFL certification from the University of Toronto. I have been teaching English since 2014.
I have taught English to all ages of students, from little children to seniors. Besides general English I have taught courses in English for tourism and the hospitality industry, English for use on the telephone, and other specialized purposes. I also am particularly interested in teaching English pronunciation. Many of my students have been Japanese, but I have taught people from all over the world.
Besides teaching, I love to travel the world, learn languages, play the flute, write stories, and listen to classical music. I hope you will contact me for a trial class!

Teaching style

I believe in helping my students to communicate the way they intend to in English. So I use a communicative approach where I adapt the lesson to the student’s particular learning goals.
